Since many of the problems with these systems results from dirt and grime that build up on the laser lens, as a free, value-added service for our clients, we always do a laser lens cleaning for every repair.
The only stipulation that we enforce for systems that we accept for repair is that the unit can not me modified in any way. There have been documented cases where novices have attempted to retrofit their systems with mod chips and various upgrades that have gone awry and people have gotten injured from the incorrect installation of such ‘upgrades’. If your system HAS been modified in this manner, please DO NOT send us the system for repair. We will not work on these systems as it presents too great of a safety hazard to our test-bench technicians and you will have to pay the return shipping fee.
Our online Repair Ticket System will provide us with some general information about you and your non-working unit. This is the very first step that needs to be completed when shipping an xBox unit to us for repair. You will also be able to log-in to the Client Control Panel to check on the status of your Repair Ticket as this is updated hourly.
While it is very difficult to provide specific repair pricing here for the many things that can go wrong with your xBox, listed below are general figures for what we charge for various repair services. When you submit your Repair Ticket, we will review your symptoms and give you a general cost estimate for the repairs. Keep in mind that the return shipping cost is ALWAYS included in our rates for clients located in the continental United States. If your unit is less than 90 days old, then it should still be covered under their warranty. If you have had your unit opened (either by yourself or a third-party repair facility), Microsoft will no longer repair your unit. |

| 7. How do I ship my unit to IMxBox.com? |

This is really simple. First make sure that it is packaged really well so that it does not get damaged during shipment. Choices for shipping include FedEx, UPS or DHL. We ask that you include the power supply cord and the AV cord (cord that connects the unit to the TV). To get the unit in for repair as quickly as possible, we recommend 2 day service, otherwise Ground service is fine. You may also ship it to us through your local post office. Ground shipping should be about $10 or less through any carrier. Please make sure that you ship your unit to the mailing address found on the Order Confirmation Page that you print out when shipping your unit to us for repair. We have recently changed locations amd the website still lists our old address. The Order Conformation Page that you prints and submit with your uinit lists the correct address and it is listed below as well.

| 8. How do I know how much it will cost to fix my xBox? |

| Once we receive and inspect your unit, we will send you a report and an estimate through the Client Control Panel. Once you review the estimate and approve the repair, you will be able to pay for the repair from within the Client Control Panel. You may pay through PayPal or we offer credit card (Visa and Mastercard) through our secure server! We will not start any repair until we have your direct approval. In general you can expect to pay about $69.95 for a basic DVD replacement, $109.95 and up for a hard drive & motherboard combo replacement, and $19.95 for a system cleaning. These prices include return shipping via DHL Ground. |

While many clients experience an issue with connecting to the xBox Live service, in 99% of the cases it is due to a conflict OUTSIDE of the box. We recommend that clients contact Microsoft or their ISP for issues involving xBox Live. We do not mind checking out the unit, but most of the time we find absolutely nothing wrong with the system. |
